Let's talk about another important and well known active ingredient, acetylsalicylic acid, known as Aspirin.
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and is used as an analgesic for minor pain, as a febrifuge and for various inflammations. Also has a strong antithrombotic effect through its ability to thin the blood (Cardioaspirin), thus reducing the risk of heart attacks.
An important 2010 study at Oxford University, carried out on 25000 patients, has shown that a low dose of aspirin (75mg) taken daily for 4-8 years significantly reduces the death rate of at least one-fifth for common forms of cancer. Specifically, we speak of a reduction of 40% for bowel cancer, 30% for lung, 10% for the prostate and 60% for the esophagus. Tumors of the pancreas, stomach, brain, breast and ovarian cancer have not been quantified due to insufficient data.

Side effects, due to the antithrombotic properties of acetylsalicylic acid, concern possible ulcers and bleeding, and increased menstrual flow. It's good take this medicine with food to reduce gastric mucosal damage, especially in those suffering from Crohn's disease.
Furthermore, patients with asthma, rhinitis and chronic urticaria should exercise greater caution because aspirin can exacerbate urticaria or rhinitis and cause rashes, angioedemi, severe bronchospasm and dyspnoea, and, in severe cases, death.
It can also cause hyperuricemia, so take care to people suffering from gout.
Caution in liver failure, kidney and hypoglycemia (watch for diabetics).
Do not use during pregnancy and in children because it increases the risk of Reye's syndrome (nausea, vomiting, disorientation, numbness, memory loss, liver damage).
The huge number of contraindications and side effects makes me think a lot: should really take such a drug or perhaps there are other ways to heal? What do you think?
